Pilgrimage Guide & Scheduling

Pilgrimage is more than a visit—it’s a sacred encounter with God’s mercy. As part of the Jubilee Year of Hope 2025, the National Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Mercy in Novaliches warmly welcomes all pilgrims—individuals, families, and groups—to participate in this holy journey of grace.

Whether you’re seeking spiritual renewal, healing, or deeper devotion, we are here to accompany you every step of the way.

Scheduling Your Pilgrimage

To arrange your pilgrimage to the National Shrine:

  • Visit the Pilgrims’ Office located within the church grounds.
  • Look for Sr. Maria Paula Advincula, MS, who will assist you in planning your visit and guide you through the Jubilee pilgrimage activities.
  • Get your Pilgrim’s Passport for only ₱200, which includes the activity guide and a keepsake of your spiritual journey.

Pilgrims’ Activity Guide (Jubilee of Hope 2025)

1. Each pilgrim is valued as a dear Son and daughter of the Mother of Mercy. Please go to the Pilgrim Office so each can be assisted by an official volunteer.

2. Enter through the Holy Door and pray the “Pilgrim’s Prayer.”

In the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your Kingdom. May your grace transform us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel. May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos in the sure expectation of a new heaven and a new earth, when, with the powers of Evil vanquished, your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven. May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth. To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever. Amen.

Mary, Our Lady of Mercy, Pray for us!

3. Proceed to the main body of the Church to pray the “Apostles’ Creed” in front of the Sanctuary.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.

4. Take the stairs to the mezzanine of the Church and pray in front of the retablo of the Pontifically Crowned and miraculous image of Our Lady of Mercy.

Take the opportunity to experience the merciful embrace of our Mother as the volunteers place the manto of Our Lady of Mercy unto you.

5. Visit the “Museo de Nuestra Señora dela Merced de Novaliches” and learn the history of the town and devotion to Our Lady of Mercy

6. Enter the Religious Store to see different religious articles you can purchase to deepen your devotion.

7. Go to the Parish Office where you can give your generous donation and offer Masses for your intention.

8. Please go back to the Pilgrim Office to write for prayers to Our Lady of Mercy (in faith, hope, and love, no prayer goes unanswered).

The volunteer will give you the sticker as token of your pilgrimage in the National Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Mercy. God bless you.
