Cofradia De Nuestra Señora Dela Merced De Novaliches
The Cofradía de Nuestra Señora de la Merced de Novaliches is a Marian lay association rooted in devotion, service, and prayer. We are a community of faithful men and women called to deepen our love for Ina ng Awa, Our Lady of Mercy, and to live out her message of compassion and intercession within the parish and beyond.
Founded in faith and fellowship, the Cofradía is committed to sustaining the growing devotion to Our Lady, leading parish activities, and nurturing a spiritual home for all who seek her mercy.
Our Beginning
On August 25, 2018, Rev. Fr. Ted Ryan Perez initiated the formation of the Cofradía, gathering devotees and creating the very first official Cofradía booklet—laying the foundation for organized devotion at the shrine. In those early days, religious sisters and lay devotees gathered faithfully at the church, praying and serving together in love.
Less than a year later, on July 6, 2019, the first batch of Cofradía members was officially commissioned—marking the formal recognition and blessing of this spiritual group.
Today, under the leadership of Sr. Maria Paula Advincula, MS, along with Perry Albelda and prayer leaders Carmelita Carag, Precilla Liporada, and Rosemarie Dolomente, the Cofradía continues to grow in number and in mission—spiritually leading Saturday Devotions, novenas, and acts of service to honor our beloved Ina ng Awa.
